I’m a writer and illustrator from Nyoongar Whadjuk Boodjar/Perth, Western Australia. I like to write short fiction for children and for adults, essays and book reviews.

After my children were born, I spent a lot of time reading picture books with them. I had always been a reader and played about with creative writing, but the beauty of picture book stories and artwork inspired me to become creative again. In the last few years, I have written fiction, book reviews and essays, and have rediscovered the joy of drawing.

When I’m not reading or writing, I enjoy running, which, to be honest, is often a lot like the process of writing. You might find me on the paths around Galup/Lake Monger or Herdsman Lake, just north of Perth city, working out ideas in my head.
